I woke up this morning to walk Q and it was sort of cold outside! After the past three weeks of heat and terribly sticky humidity, today's 72 degrees feels like a miracle. Weather like this makes me so happy that I am actually starting to look forward to school starting, because the start of school means the beginning of Fall! Suddenly, I am not instantly depressed by the thought of classes, meetings, homework, grading, practices, and early mornings (well, maybe the early morning will always depress me). I'm overlooking the whole loss of freedom thing and focusing solely on the very-soon-to-be-changing leaves, the smell the air will have (crisp and somehow also a little musty), the chance to wear long pants and sweaters, and hot drinks. Fall is my absolute favorite season, and now it is just around the corner and I cannot wait. Can it be true - I'm ready, maybe even excited, for school again?!
