I spent the morning at the gym and then went directly to a few hours of painting a friend's apartment (yes, without a shower first, and yes, I felt bad for the people painting alongside me). So I didn't end up getting a chance to redo my hair until late in the afternoon as I was rushing to take a friend to the train station. I would have just let it dry on its own to save time, but I just could not ignore my curiosity/apprehension and quickly whipped out the hair dryer instead. By the time I finished, I was elated, convinced that although the cut is a little too short, I was just overreacting yesterday.
And then later I caught a glimpse of myself in a mirror at Target and wondered when I had found the time to age twenty years.
