Today

It's been torrential rain and wind for about three hours now.

Earlier in the morning, I was laughing at a student who came in, sadly dragging her umbrella, which was barely recognizeable after the wind had its way with it.

Then I went outside, and my umbrella suffered the same fate. Really - the wind bent the spokes in half.

Thank goodness I had called Jeremy to bring my rain boots up, because I most certainly would have tumbled down the stairs otherwise. This time, I only ended up with a broken umbrella and some very wet bangs.

Now I'm trying to gather the courage to leave my office and go watch some games, but it's difficult to muster the strength. I'm also trying not to think about the fact that my husband has an hour long drive to and from class tonight...
