I came home just now from chaperoning some weekend activities, and Jeremy and a friend of ours were watching Inglourious Basterds in our living room. Now, it had previously been arranged that they would watch the movie over at our friend's house, because I really can't handle violent movies, especially Tarantino style (the exception being Pulp Fiction) and tend to freak out/vomit if made to watch them. I guess they forgot.
Jeremy tried to explain/lure me in to watch by dropping this gem of wisdom:
"It's really not that bad; we've only seen one scalping so far."

I would like to know in what world "scalping" and the phrase "only one" go together.

ha! but yeah...so much scalping in that movie.
it really was a great movie, tho, so if you ever find a strange censored version - watch it! :)
OMG my husband insisted I watch this movie with him last weekend. After my father-in-law informed me, "It's extremely violent, you won't like it at all". So I said, "warn me when a gross part is coming okay?" But, I saw the first scalping. Yuck. And a few other gross bits. All in all, I liked the plot 100000% more than I have with other Tarantino movies, but...gross. Just gross.
