Last night, I tried an apple crisp recipe from Cook's Illustrated. It is the greatest apple crisp I have ever tried. Try it immediately.
On a related note, I am becoming more and more enamored of Cook's Illustrated every time I read it. If you've never tried it before, it is perfect for cooking tips, equipment and ingredient reviews, and perhaps best of all, recipes from America's Test Kitchen. Everything in it is completely candid and 100% helpful, and it's amazing how many fascinating things are in each relatively small issue. Also, it's adorable.

Like. (As in, there should be a place where I can check "like" as on Facebook.)
I can vouch from the taste-tester perspective. Amazing. Golden Delicious apples...who knew?
