a recommendation

On Wednesday, J and I drove to Boston to see Ray LaMontagne and David Gray at the Bank of America Pavillion. It was a beautiful place to see a concert, but honestly, we could have been sitting at a toxic dump site and we wouldn't have noticed. It was just that incredible.

If you haven't heard anything by Ray LaMontagne or David Gray, you need to remedy that as soon as possible. Honestly, in my opinion, both of them produce some of the best music around these days, and they're certainly welcome reprieves from most of the other crap out there.

If you have a chance and you live reasonably close to any of the upcoming venues, do yourself a favor and get to one of these performances.

If you can't get to one of them, try watching this video of Ray's portion of the performance from the show we saw. I haven't yet found a recording of the David Gray portion, and sadly ( massive understatement) I'm not sure I'll ever find one of the two songs they did together at the end.

You inspired me to download more of their stuff! I have some already, but figured I should add to the collection!

I have seen them both. Two amazing amazing people that I could see over and over again. They also are on constant rotation in my car and house. Love to find a blogger with great musical taste! Can't wait to come back and read more of you.
