23 weeks

I'm getting better at this, because yesterday was 23 weeks and I actually took this picture yesterday!

Is there any difference? I feel like there isn't.

I promise I'm not wearing some sort of catsuit/bodysuit thing. It's a shirt and pants; I swear. I was wearing a cardigan all day, too, in a half-hearted attempt to somewhat follow our dress code rules (supposed to wear a blazer when I wear pants, but I could never find blazers that looked good on me before, let alone now).

I had my second try at the 20-week scan to confirm that the baby has things like the stomach and heart - you know, things that are nice to have. I think the next appointment is the glucose test, and I'm a little terrified.

I finally got my car back from the shop after a week and a half, and the timing could not have been better with tonight's pouring rain. I know I should walk to work in the mornings, but I've been getting a terrible stitch in my side every time I walk anywhere, so lugging my giant work bag up hill for half a mile probably is not ideal. Much better to take the dog for long walks, being a two birds/one stone type of situation.

I love the updates and I am sorry I am one of those people who asks the same question of you a lot. I will try to stop as I can see how it would get annoying. I am like that sometimes, too. I'd rather people just don't state/ask the obvious....just move along to the next topic. On another note, what was wrong with the car? I hope nothing significant or too expensive?

Heidi - you can ask me anything you want! Like I said, I'm just grouchy about it, but I know it's nice that everyone is asking.
The car needed a new fuel pump, and they had to order it, which is what took so long. We ended up doing some maintenance on it, too, so it was unfortunately very expensive, but at least it works. We had to have it towed at the beginning, and I discovered a AAA app that I put on my iPhone and could place the service order through - very cool!

you look so dang cute!!

don't be terrified of the glucose thing. the drink just tastes like flat sprite and then it's quick blood work. i actually had GD and even that wasn't the end of the world! :)

i remember loving this phase because the bump is noticeable and cute and you waddle a little bit, but in a totally charming way. :)
